“Bayan” Institute holds official opening ceremony amid large official and academic presence in Verona
Today, Sunday, March 12, the Italian Institute of Islamic and Humanistic Studies “Bayan” organized the official opening ceremony in Verona.
The ceremony, which was held at the Best Western Hotel, was attended by a large number of official bodies, Italian dignitaries, academic institutions, representatives of Italian universities, researchers and about 250 members of the Islamic community.
The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran recited by the reciter Sheikh Hisham Maroufi, followed by the keynote address delivered by the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Anwar Al-Nahmi, while Dr. Ali Abu Shwaima delivered the address of the Institute’s trustees .
The ceremony included video presentations, which recounted the Institute’s journey since its founding, introducing its programs and activities, as well as its future plans.
Numerous speeches were made by representatives of many institutions, agencies and universities participating in the celebration, in addition to the ceremony’s guest speaker from abroad, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rawi, representative of the International Charitable Organization, and Dr. Ahmed Sajallah, president of the European Institute of Humanities in Paris.
Those words, in their entirety, expressed feelings of happiness and deep pride for the Institute with the official opening and inauguration of the second semester, and for what this event represents as a qualitative addition to scientific and academic life in Italy and Europe.
A panel discussion was also held in the plenary session, during which there was an academic discussion and exchange of scientific ideas and visions on the aspirations of the institute and aspects of cooperation and future partnership between various academic and scientific institutions with the Bayan Institute.
The Institute’s faculty, lecturers and students gave speeches expressing their feelings and pride in the Institute’s great success from its inception to its official opening, which represents a major turning point toward the future. The paragraphs also included chanting connections, honored paragraphs, and lunch, with which the ceremony concluded.
